  • Say NO to PIRACY!

Since the explosion of e-books on the market, e-piracy has been a horrendous problem for all authors.

A free book? Many readers will look at the prospect as a dream come true, but readers are unaware of e-piracy's consequences.

E-piracy takes money (our bread and butter) right out of our pockets and, in 2009, has taken BILLIONS of sales dollars from hardworking authors.

If E-piracy continues, authors will be forced to stop producing e-books. Publishers might have to encrypt books, raising costs, and making it impossible for readers to share or use on multiple e-readers.

All books (including e-books) have a copyright. If you're caught uploading, transferring, selling, copying, or sharing an e-book, you can be fined $250,000.

E-piracy is the same as stealing.

Please support all authors in their fight against the dreaded e-piracy and say "NO" to anyone offering you a free copy of an e-book (other than an author).

Insight on the latest book on my reading list–E. J. Stevens Spirit Storm

Posted by tamelaquijas on January 31, 2011

The weather is changing this week in the Southwest.  Today, we’re due for a high of 61, and I’m planning to enjoy it.  Wednesday is going to be 9 degrees…Texas isn’t supposed to have this weather!

I’m not complaining, though.  I have plenty of books to read, if we’re stuck at home.  My latest read is E. J. Stevens’ paranormal novel,  Spirit Storm.  E.J. Stevens is the author of the haunting collection of dark poetry FROM THE SHADOWS, the chilling collection of paranormal poetry SHADOWS OF MYTH AND LEGEND, and the young adult paranormal SPIRIT GUIDE series, including SHE SMELLS THE DEAD and SPIRIT STORM.

E.J. is currently working on LEGEND OF WITCHTROT ROAD, the third book in the Spirit Guide series, due to release late 2011 and YES ANNABELLE: THERE ARE SUCH THINGS AS VAMPIRES the first book in the Raven’s Gate Manor middle-grade paranormal series.

I will be reviewing Spirit Storm, which is part of the Spirit Guide Series, on Thursday. Look for my upcoming review on She Smells the Dead!

In the meantime,  I’ve posted a little teaser for my reading audience.

“Let the spirits guide you, but never let them take you.”

Spirits of the Dead are coming…

Yuki is about to face an army of lost souls on Samhain, the night of Halloween, when the spirits of the dead roam free. Yuki will need all the help she can get from her friends. But will Calvin be there for her when she needs him the most?

Spirit Storm is available at:  Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and other fine retailers.

  1. Wow! Going from 61 to 9 degrees is so drastic. Here in Jersey the weather prediction is for yet another snowstorm. Not sure if there will be any place to shovel it to! lol This sounds like a such great novel…I LOVE the cover – it’s beautiful. :)
