  • Say NO to PIRACY!

Since the explosion of e-books on the market, e-piracy has been a horrendous problem for all authors.

A free book? Many readers will look at the prospect as a dream come true, but readers are unaware of e-piracy's consequences.

E-piracy takes money (our bread and butter) right out of our pockets and, in 2009, has taken BILLIONS of sales dollars from hardworking authors.

If E-piracy continues, authors will be forced to stop producing e-books. Publishers might have to encrypt books, raising costs, and making it impossible for readers to share or use on multiple e-readers.

All books (including e-books) have a copyright. If you're caught uploading, transferring, selling, copying, or sharing an e-book, you can be fined $250,000.

E-piracy is the same as stealing.

Please support all authors in their fight against the dreaded e-piracy and say "NO" to anyone offering you a free copy of an e-book (other than an author).

Haunting Miss Trentwood is on my favorite book list

Posted by Tamela Quijas - Romance Author on January 3, 2011

I love finding new authors.  My bookcases overflow with authors that once flashed before me, nothing more than a name, until I read their work.  After that first book, I gathered, collected, and obsessed about where to find their next release.  Jude Deveraux‘s novels line nearly every shelf in my house, followed by Johanna Lindsey, Stephen King, Jeff Smith, and Dean Koontz

There’s another author I have to add to my ever-growing list of favorites, and that would have to be Romance Author Belinda Kroll.  Quirky Historical romances always grab my attention (as you can tell by my romance author lists) and Ms. Kroll writes the epitome of the perfect quirky romance.  Her latest, Haunting Miss Trentwood, is the novel to curl up with, and leaves the reader with that warm and fuzzy feeling that can only be delivered by a fantastic bit of delightful historical romantic fiction.

Blurb:

Resigned to a lonely life in her quiet manor house in the English countryside, Mary Trentwood is horrified when she watches her father crawl from his grave the day of his funeral. Mary clings to her routine, finding it increasingly difficult to avoid her father’s ghost as she questions her sanity.

Mistaking the newly-arrived Alexander Hartwell to be her father’s solicitor-for who else would interrupt her time of mourning?-Mary welcomes him into her home reluctantly, not realizing Hartwell is on the hunt for a blackmailer.

Caught in a tangle of secrets, Mary fights a series of events which threaten to bring Death to her door once more.

Stop on by Belinda’s wonderful site at http://worderella.com/fiction/ to see the fantastic book trailer that will make you want a copy of Haunting Miss Trentwood from http://brightbirdpress.com/ !
